I am so pleased to now announce that alongside my established work in equine sports therapy, rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning, I am now qualified to offer massage therapy treatments for people. This new development allows me to support both horses and riders from a more integrated musculoskeletal and biomechanical perspective.
Fully insured and registered with the FHT for your piece of mind.
My approach to massage therapy is based on a detailed understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement. Treatments are tailored to the individual and may include assessment of postural habits, muscular tension patterns, and areas of restriction contributing to discomfort or reduced function.
The aim of treatment is to support the body’s natural ability to adapt and recover by addressing soft tissue dysfunction and improving overall musculoskeletal balance.
Massage therapy can provide a range of physical and physiological benefits, including:
Regular treatment may also assist in maintaining optimal physical function, particularly for individuals with physically demanding lifestyles, sedentary work patterns, or high levels of physical activity.
A key element of my practice is the recognised relationship between horse and rider biomechanics. The rider’s posture, muscular tension, and movement patterns can directly influence the horse’s symmetry, locomotion, and overall way of going. Equally, the horse’s movement and asymmetries can contribute to compensatory patterns in the rider.
By understanding and addressing both aspects of this relationship, a more balanced and effective partnership can be supported, potentially improving comfort, performance, and functional movement in both horse and rider.
Each treatment is delivered in a calm, professional environment and is fully tailored to individual needs. The focus is always on supporting functional movement, reducing restrictions, and promoting long-term wellbeing rather than short-term symptom relief alone

This outlines my expansion into human treatment and provides further details on how massage therapy can support muscle tension, recovery, mobility, and overall wellbeing.
While my equine sports therapy, rehabilitation, and strength & conditioning services remain unchanged, this additional qualification allows me to support riders from a more complete horse-and-rider perspective, considering the close relationship between human posture, movement patterns, and equine biomechanics.
